    2009 MTV Movie Awards

You can now vote for the nominees for the 2009 MTV Movie Awards, at http://www.mtv.com/ontv/movieawards/...tegories.jhtml

Always innovative over at MTV, they've added a new award this year, the "Best WTF Moment".

You can choose from, among others, Amy Poehler peeing in a sink in "Baby Mama", Ben Stiller licking a decapitated head in "Tropic Thunder", Jason Segel breaking up with his girlfriend naked in "Forgetting Sarah Marshall", and Paul Rudd throwing up on Jon Favreau in "I Love You, Man".

The awards air Sunday, May 31st at 9 PM EST.

Here's a video featuring host Andy Samberg with Jack Black and Michael Cera:

There's no Rashida Jones in the clip you posted, Brasky (it's the one with Jack Black and Michael Cera).

You sure? The one in the first message I posted in this thread is the Michael Cera- Jack Black one, but the one I just posted is playing as the Rashida Jones one for me.

    Re: 2009 MTV Movie Awards

So at what point do the MTV awards and the Nickelodeon Kid's choice awards just merge?

I'm kind of surprised they aren't giving a lifetime achievement award to Miley Cyrus for her work on 'Bolt'.

Best WTF moment? Really? I mean WTF...

The other ones I can understand, but what's "WTF" about "Curved Bullet Kill" from "Wanted"?

Unless "WTF" stands for "Why the f--- did I waste money seeing this movie"

    BREAKTHROUGH PERFORMANCE FEMALE
    * Vanessa Hudgens - High School Musical 3: Senior Year (Walt Disney Pictures)

Is it really a breakthrough performance when playing the same character in a third movie?

This was the first time her performance was seen by anyone over the age of 12, I guess.

    Re: 2009 MTV Movie Awards

Not necessarily true. There were tons of people over 12 who saw the pictures of her "performance*" long before High School Musical 3.

How the hell did The Reader make it into the MTV movie awards? Those MTV kids sure do love movies about repercussions of the Holocaust.

    Re: 2009 MTV Movie Awards

It also makes me laugh that while Winslet is nominated in that category for "The Reader", Anne Hathaway is nominated for "Bride Wars". Because really, it's not like she's had any other recent performances that have been any good.

    Re: 2009 MTV Movie Awards

I'm only mildly interested in this show because Andy's hosting, plus I still thought last year Seth Rogen's weed joke was the type of fuck you that the Movie Awards deserve! Either way, I couldn't give a shit about the categories but seeing Slumdog Millionaire get nominated for that shit diving scene is funny especially since Danny Boyle included that scene as a homage to his film Trainspotting which no MTV viewer has probably heard of. Also is that indian kid actor going to show up, because he lives in the slums... and frankly that is quite a choice, slums or MTV movie awards.
