If you, like me, have been impatiently tapping your foot waiting for that damn Arrested Development movie to get made, I come bearing reasonably exciting news: The Bluths are headed to FX!

Well, two of them are anyway.

Jeffery Tambor will lend his voice to the Jan. 28 episode of FX’s new spy-spoof cartoon Archer, which co-stars his Arrested leading lady, Jessica Walter, as the domineering mother/boss of a secret agent.

In the episode, Tambor plays a United Nations intelligence chairman who Walter’s Malory tries to woo for the benefit of her spy agency.

Archer premieres on Jan. 14.

The first episode was AWESOME! The writing and casting are great. I think Lucille Bluth is the mom, Mrs. Archer. And Aisha Tyler is Lana Kane.

And it looks like another one is coming on right after, so......

Anyway - great episodes... that I probably watched in reverse order. Because I get how TV works.

I don't think it really matters which order you watch them in. At least for these two episodes. So far it's definitely nowhere near as plot-driven as Frisky Dingo.

I much preferred the pilot. They're both on iTunes, for people who missed them and has three bucks.

The stand off in the pilot is absolutely amazing... second episode isn't as good, but i like the show a lot, I would like to see it become a bit more plot orientated, that was one of the things that brought me back to frisky dingo, not that the plot was particularly compelling just that it had a nice balance of the plot and comedy.

Isn't that kind of the point of the show? It seems like the whole premise is a spy operation with an HR department. That is the basic plot. To me, that is a very funny premise.

It did take Frisky Dingo a half dozen or so episodes to seem like it had a plot and wasn't just random jokes, too, so I can give Archer some time to grow.

Loved the pilot and the first two episodes. Definitely season pass'd on TiVo and the first season DVD boxset will be purchased happily the second it hits Amazon. With FX I feel Adam Reed and company finally has a station that will let them get away with murder while still being completely insane.

Wow. I just watched the first two episodes of this onDemand, and I'm repeatedly punching myself in the balls for sleeping on it. This is easily the funniest new thing on TV since 30 Rock. The fact that it can have such a laugh out loud quality while establishing the characters and relationships is astounding. Nearly every scene had a moment that had me dying.
