Jon Benjamin's been on the show.

Adam Reed or someone else from the show is possible - I have the next four shows blocked out (a show with Loudon Wainwright III and Sal Santana next week, then three Sundance shows) though, it might be tough to get something on while new episodes are still airing.

While i am not a fan of your no benjamin policy (it's been a while since he's been on right???) I am a fan of your pro Loudon policy.

    Keep on rocking it buddy

I still have to catch this week's episode. I'm angry it's not on Hulu.

Yesssss, this is my favorite thing on TV right now, especially with the Olympics monopolizing NBC.

Did I read somewhere that Jon Benjamin is doing another animated show?

Yes. Soul Quest Overdrive with David Cross. It's in that adult swim pilot voting thing.

    Now streaming on Netflix.

Rewatched the entire show in two days off Netflix instant streaming.

If you watch them all together there's even more continuity and callbacks than I first realized. I didn't even tie together all the episodes where Archer referenced the "Daaaaan-gah zone" as one running gag, let alone the "Curry Fury" reference towards the end of the season that played off the first episode.

Yeah, this show more so than other animated shows of its ilk--SEALAB, HARVEY BIRDMAN--really benefits from marathon viewing.

(The "Danger Zone" gag killed me every time.)

Finally got around to watching all these this past week. While not quite the comic masterpiece that is Frisky Dingo (an admittedly high watermark), this show is nevertheless all kinds of hilarious. "Danger Zone" got me every time, as did Aisha Tyler's extended "Yuup!" Adam Reed is a mad genius. So glad to hear there will be a second season.

Also, is Judy Greer Hollywood's go-to actor for funny, quirky sex fiend? She seems to get that a lot.

Re: "Archer" - Jon Benjamin animated comedy on FX

With all the irregular seasons and whatnot, the actual Archer thread got lost among announcement threads for new episodes over a year ago. For something's sake, I'm bringing this one back.

The new one, "Heart of Archness Part 1" was so good. I have felt over the life of the show that none of the episodes had made me laugh as much as the pilot. (I still say "That's how you get ants" whenever appropriate). But I was laughing like a diff-abled chimp at this one. Archer mocking the bounty hunter's retro aesthetic killed me. And I love it when Archer is sort of mindlessly awesome (shooting the shark, taking out the pirates), despite the fact that he's a complete prick. It's an element that no other show really has.

I am glad I didn't see the episode title, though, because I would have seen the end coming if I had.

Don't look at the wikipedia list of episodes, it kind of spoils the next two episodes.

Yeah this new one was great. The idea of having Jon Benjamin and Patrick Warburton together is so good, I can't believe it's not been done before. (as far as I know anyway.) Then to throw David Cross into the mix at the end was just too much of a treat.

If anyone was waiting for the first season of Archer on blu-ray, it was just released as a "Best Buy exclusive" and it's on sale for $14.99 at the moment. The only special feature that was added is the ability to lose your friends when you proudly show off how great animation looks in high definition.

    Well, I already have THAT.

Seriously, Brock Samson on Archer? Perfection. I'm in Australia and the first season is out here on DVD, but apparently the second season hasn't been released even in the US? What's the deal? Because I heard these new eps might have been the end of the second season but they're being listed as the start of the third. I am confuse.

Sidebar: I saw the first season of Archer, heard about Frisky Dingo, then watched the first season of that. Archer is significantly better. To me. Engage in combat with me, brothers.

The episodes over the last three weeks were part of the same order for Season 2, and are acting as a belated season finale event. Not Season 3.

And Frisky Dingo is sillier and more off-rails, basically it felt like they were just taking it wherever they wanted as time went on. Archer is a much more polished package, and it shows. Some people will still prefer Frisky Dingo, though, becomes it's pretty unique and there aren't many other things like it just in terms off how they handled the way the story unfolded.

That said, I hate Archer and Frisky Dingo so much.

You need to go to the brain doctor because that's crazy talk. What's the opposite of sploosh? Because that's what you're making me do.
