The Biggest Mistake is doing a live taping at the fest, and I was all worried that we would be conflicting with something amazing.

Now I KNOW we're going to be conflicting with something amazing, no matter where we are in the schedule, because everything that's booked is amazing! It takes the pressure off.

    I am fucking excited, dudes.

Chicago peeps and other undesirable candies?

    Re: Bridgetown Comedy Festival 2010

I am a chicago peep, and I am planning to attend. I promise to be more AST-friendly this time. Last year I had some performers that I HAD to see, and ended up ditching the AST group a couple times. This year, I'm gonna try and discover more unknowns (to me). Except Dana Gould. Not missing that for the world. I will have non-comedy nerd friends with me again, but I will likely rent a car so I can hang out after the shows.

I'll be missing my last 5b show at iO-Chicago for the festival... so if I don't get on a house team, I will blame Bridgetown and not my performances in the previous 7 weeks of shows.

    Convenient excuses!

+1. I'm working extra to fund this potential trip.
I'll decide on Sunday. It was supposed to be today, but I like to procrastinate.

But the plan in my mind is that I'll probably be arriving Friday afternoon and leaving Monday morning.
I'll figure out the whole hotel situation later.

I also hope to spend more time with the AST group. Last year I was 20 and had to skip out on a lot of after parties, plus running around for interviews kept me busy. But this year I'm 21 and plan on bar-hopping with all the cool kids!

    (if they'll let me)

I purchased my plane tickets. I am saving up my quarters for Ground Kontrol. Who needs to do laundry? I am just going to wash my clothes in the Los Angeles River.

PS They just added the pinball game Fun House which is tied with The Addams Family as my favorite pinball game.

As a PDXer, I'd have to be insane or at the very least highly unpatriotic to miss the Bridgetown festival. This will be my first year attending, any tips?

Put on your safety gear, make sure you keep your hands washed because there is a bug going around, and most of all, have fun!

I have booked my flight and lodging for Portland, so if any ASTers want to say hi, tell me I'm full of hoo-ha, or fill me with hoo-ha, you are more than welcome to do so.

Haven't been to Portland in a decade, and as a former resident and comedian of the great Pacific Northwest, I'm greatly looking forward to experiencing everything the 2010 Bridgetown Comedy Festival has to offer!

    Bridgetown carpools from LA

Hey errrbody. I have shows in Seattle the week after Bridgetown (April 23-25) so I'm just driving up. I have room in the car for 3 more, and I guess you could one-way Amtrak it back on the cheap. I suppose we should get in on the 22nd for check-in and pre-party madness. That is all.

    Re: Bridgetown Comedy Festival 2010

I started a "carpool from LA" thread in the LA shows sub-forum. That was before I saw this thread. I don't know how things work. I can take 3 people and one goldfish. But only one way. Unless you want to spend a week watching me do one-nighters around Seattle.

    Re: Bridgetown Comedy Festival 2010

Last year, on the morning we were leaving after the festival, the news of the swine flu broke and there was a report of a case in Portland. We nervously checked facebook to see if friends or performers were showing symptoms. What global pandemic will break out this year? Let's find out together!

(of course, everyone was just fine... I'm just screwing around).
