I downloaded Mary Lynn's appearance on The Tonight Show from last night. She told the story she's been telling for years about waittressing at Hard Rock Cafe and the celebrity customer who asked if she had Down syndrome. Here's the weird part: whatever NBC affiliate this was recorded on (or maybe all of NBC?) muted it each time she said Down syndrome.

    Re: Comics On the Air

When they reran the Rainn Wilson episode of SNL a few months ago, in the sketch where Rainn and the other guys are sitting around swapping stories and singing, they muted out "Down's Syndrome" from Bill Hader's story- so the punchline of his story became "For the first time in my life, I thought 'I have a dad', not 'I have a dad with (dead air)".

Ben Kronberg on Last Call with Carson Daly, Tuesday, January 20th.

I just came back from the taping, and although they won't air on the same night, Ben went on right before Jeff Dunham. Watching Ben "open" for Jeff Dunham and his borderline racist suicide bomber doll, is something that I'll never witness again. Those 2 men exist in different comedy universes. It was strange. But other than that, Ben did great, everyone that worked there was super nice, and I think Joe Firstman is Ben's newest #1 fan.

When three of your six puppets are "borderline" racist I think you've pretty much crossed that border (on a steeck!)

I like Demetri Martin, but I saw the preview of his show on CC.com and didn't think it was that funny--too contrived, IMHO.
