let's move this discussion over to the Bands That Matt Sharp Used To Be In thread.
Doug,
Can't stop laughing at/to/five-feet-from the Jerry Seinfeld line on your CD.

I think you're right about the subject matter. I was just at a wedding and mentioned Super High Me to a handful of friends, and all but one had heard of it, and most had already seen it. They know absolutely nothing about comedy, but lots about weed.
Anyway, I hope you're making some money off of the dvd's "overperformance," one way or another. I would like to see you lighting a blunt off a $100 bill in Super High Me 2 (Your Sister is a Werewolf).
And since you love movies: is the Howling 2 the worst sequel ever made? Worst movie ever made? I can't think of anything worse, despite the fact that I had Sybil Danning from that movie in my wank bank for the entire duration of my adolescence.
EDIT: I also wanted to add that whoever chose the stand-up material for the dvd did an excellent job.
i wanted the seinfeld line on the cd because it's a perfect example of the kind of shit i blurt out in my shows every night and then often forget to ever say again. thanks for liking it.
i got final approval of all the stand-up in the movie, but alex campbell deserves credit for looking at many hours of stand-up and narrowing it down to what you see in the film.
doubt i'll ever see much of a profit off of the thing. i'll keep you guys posted!
i either never watched HOWLING 2 or have forgotten everything about it.
(wonder if the first HOWLING holds up today)
I think the transforming werewolf sex scene in the Howling is the first sex scene I ever saw.
that explains a lot.

I Love Movies is up on itunes now..
listen in on some Dark Knight discussion with Patton Oswalt and Scott Aukerman.
That was sure a fast update. Normally takes longer. Woo!
Great episode. I loved Scott's Jerry Maguire story.
i'm stepping up production on ILM starting in the fall to twice a month. the next two tapings (before DEATH RAY) will occur on sept. 8 and 22. the guests, as always, will remain a suprise.
(a delightful surprise!)

Just watched the Doug Benson reel on UCBComedy.com. Funny stuff! The LCS clip ("I'm working on my segues") was great! That bit was stronger than anything else I've seen on LCS.
and that was the year i didn't make it into the house!
(or boat, rather)
