Thread: Doug Loves Movies

    re: Doug Loves Movies

After giving it serious consideration, I've decided I like Leonard Maltin 1.0 better than Leonard Maltin 2.0.

    For this, I am sorry.

I think Leonard Maltin 1.0 felt more casual but I think this way of doing it ups the stakes a bit more. I mean, if we have the two guest, we might as well make them compete a bit.

    But that's just me...

I really like 2.0. This episode really showed how fun it could be.

Jerry O'Connell is much better at Leonard Maltin than he is at Six Degrees of Kevin Bacon.
Night gathers, and now my snark begins. It shall not end until it gets hacky. I shall take my wife(... please!), hold no lands, father no negative ratings. I shall wear no crowns and win no AST Top 20 Rankings. I shall live and die by my posts. I am the LOL in the darkness. I am the fire that burns against the trolls, the sneer that guards the realms of men from Kyle Cease's Comedy Boot Camp. I pledge my life and honor to the AST's Watch, for this night and all the nights to come.

I really enjoy both versions of it. My only problem with Lenny Maltz 2.0 is that the new "structured" format (what with the themes and all) could bring the end of us getting to see/hear Doug guessing.

I actually thought that was Kevin Pollak doing his G&D era Marlon Brando.
Good thing he said "That was Doug"

    What about Scott Aukerman?

    re: Doug Loves Movies

what about scott aukerman? he was indeed a guest earlier this season and therefore eligible to be the return guest on the next show. but i'm not saying anything further about who (or what) my guests will be.

    (surprises are full of love!)

I meant he was also on twice this season, but then I realized I don't really know what season means. If it means starting with the David Cross episode, Aukerman was on twice.

Not that any of this means anything.

remember when Bil Dwyer was the mystery guest?
    that was funny.

Finally checked out the podcast, I listened to all of them at work yesterday. Made my day way better. The Sam Levine one was hysterical.

yes, i overlooked the fact that scott has been on twice. but the new eppy - taping tomorrow, available this weekend - will feature two other guests who have been on already this season, but not with each other!

    (let the pointless guessing begin!)

I had these on my laptop and they got me through two flights yesterday. I looked like an idiot on the plane with my headphones laughing my head off. The ep with Sarah Silverman is amazing.

Wait. Didn't Jimmy Dore say on Never Not Funny that he was on an episode with Dax Shepard?
