Thread: Flight of the Conchords

    Re: Flight of the Conchords

For people without HBO, there's a new opening sequence for the season premiere that wasn't seen online, as well as a few new bits of dialog that were censored from the web-premiere, including a "Pussy" jingle by Dave.

Man, Dave was right. That "pussy" jingle is one of the best out there.

I really enjoyed this episode. It has a very dark feel to it, and it makes me excited to see what will happen within the season.

After seeing the previews for the season and especially for next weeks episode, I noticed that Bret and Jemaine's hair is different from the first season and the most recent episode. Does anyone know if this weeks episode, "A Good Opportunity", was filmed before the rest of the season 2 episodes? Sorry if this is a stupid question.

Not my favorite FOTC ep, but better than 99% of what's on TV right now.

    Arj's jingle = awesome.

She beat one in the head, and I'm the one that got away.

I love me some Conchords. They actually inspired me to start writing songs (which I kind of gave up for now, as they came out sounding too Conchords-ish)
I prefer them to the D, as I love Tenacious D, but D songs really don't make me laugh so much, they're just good songs

Wow, that was great! The whole production is a notch above season one. Only thing I didn't like that much were the opening and closing numbers.

The bit about Jemaine's Dad being a women's rights activists but not allowing his mother to be just killed me. I must have missed it when I first watched it online.

I liked Bret wearing the Woven Trousers he was weaving earlier in the show.

And boy, Mel was treating Doug like crap. Moreso than usual.

Nice to see Andy Secunda as "guy informing Murray that a Polish dude called."

Yeah, and I loved the way Jemaine chimed in with "it IS rude" when Mel called Doug a conversation hog.

I actually don't like this. Everything looks too bright and expensive. I just don't like it in the context of this show, it's distracting and overwhelming. When Murray was singing I just thought "ooooh, a crane shot. I bet that was expensive. Look how pretty the buildings look." And in the scene in Dave's store I was all "why is it so effing BRIGHT, Dave and his store is seedy." All stuff I could get used to, but....nevermind, I just don't like it.

I think the "fanciness" of Murray's song/set was to show how successful he has become. Everything will be back to normal in the coming episodes.

That part was incredible! and I especially loved Mel's massage scene. The songs weren't my favorite, but the episode itself was top notch.

"I knew if you bought a cup we'd end up in jail." This episode was great. Even better than a lot of season one episodes, I thought. The songs haven't made me laugh this season, but they're still entertaining so I don't really mind. I'm so glad this show is back.
