Mildly hyperventilating over here. Dear God. So glad I snagged tickets for this! I was debating whether I wanted to drive up to Vancouver only two days after coming back from NYC (for the Eugene Mirman festival), but now I am giddy, light-headed and smug with the satisfaction of having made the right decision.
I will return broke and exhausted, but who cares?
I'm especially excited to see Brent. I got an advance copy of his Night Shift CD and I loved it so.
Wahoo!
Hi folks, I am actually working for Destination Funny, who put on the annual Global ComedyFest Vancouver. I am the radio promo girl but am glad to answer all of your questions related to the ComedyFest.
With the festival just around the corner, it's a circus in our office with new comedians coming on board and last minute cancellations. We just printed our program and revealed all line-ups two days ago.
The best way to stay tuned is to become a club member at http://www.comedyfest.com. We also have a facebook group 'Global ComedyFest Vancouver 2009' and a twitter account 'VancouverComedy'.
Here the complete line-ups:

Thanks for coming in and giving us some official info!
That being said, do you know anywhere I can buy tickets for Jimmy Pardo's Never Not Funny Live show and his game show You Fascinate Me that are both happening on the 26th?
Just want to let everyone know that that still is a partial list of the CDR performers - there may be a few unannouced surprise guests who pop up.
Here's what I know, from speaking to them about the ticket sales for both the Never Not Funny and Comedy Death-Ray podcast recordings:
These will both take place in a ballroom in the hotel we're all staying at (CDR on Friday, NNF on Saturday) - there will be around 50 seats for sale for both of them as I recall. Tickets will be going on sale a little closer to the event than the tickets for all the other stuff. So if you're interested in going, you should snap tickets up as soon as they go on sale! We'll come back and let everyone know when that will be.
We're trying to figure out if the CDR one will truly go out live to Indie 1031 - in that case, we'll broadcast right at noon. If we're just taping it as a bonus episode, we may schedule it more like 2pm or so. I should have a list of guests for the CDR one as we figure it out and it approaches!
That's some great, comprehensive information. Thanks, Scott!
Sounds like they'll be pretty intimate shows, which should be great. Let us know here and on Twitter when you find out when/where the tickets go on sale. I'll definitely try and buy quick.
If it isn't too much info to give away too early, what hotel is it? I worked security at the Marriott Pinnacle and Renaissance hotels downtown on Pender st. last year for awhile.
Look forward to it!
Just to follow up on what Scott said...
NNF will be on Saturday, Sept 26 at 3pm.
"You Fascinate Me" will be at 7pm, I believe...
Tix to be released soon.
thanks,

Okay. FYI I went to Ticketmaster just now and bought a ticket to the 3pm never not funny, but there is no mention on the festival website, on the Ticketmaster page, on my ticket or elsewhere about this ticket also admitting me to the You Fascinate Me show later that evening. To the contrary, from the website it appears that I need to purchase tickets to both shows separately. Is that right?
Sorry if I'm missing something obvious here. I want to attend both shows. And I'm happy to purchase tickets to each if that's what is required. But just thought I should check here before doing so.
These pages both say that a ticket to one show gets you into both:

I'm jealous RR!!!!
Oh boy. Fun.
Did anyone else notice that Andy Daly was on the roster and then got yanked?
Is anyone else going to the Tom Arnold show? It's got a great lineup I just can't force myself to buy tickets to the "Tom Arnold show."

I have tickets to the Tom Arnold show. They were 2-for-1 and it was another chance to see PFT!
Yeah, go to ticketmaster.ca and use the code "FUNNYMAN" when you choose your tickets. There should be $22 and $15 options.... if they haven't sold out yet.
CDR Radio will be on Friday at 3pm at the Westin Grand Hotel. Admission is free and it will be a first-come-first-serve basis.
There are also shows at Yuk Yuk's most of this week. Friday and Saturday will include stand ups like Andy Kindler, Jimmy Pardo, Maria Bamford, Rory Scovel, Scott Aukerman, Reggie Watts, Tig Notaro and others. Check the comedyfest.com website for the line ups of each individual show (they're all different). Tickets will be available at the door for $15. Except for the Saturday late show, which is $20.
Hope everyone has fun at the shows this week!
Last minute two-for-one CDR tix available at Ticketmaster - password is RAYGUN.
