Sam, I sure hope you were kidding, but a high number of responses is not in and of itself a valid goal. Negative attention is of no benefit to this rapetastic piece of trash, and it's not something you should pursue. No part of this "worked" for these creators, unless you think that marginal changes in the number of YouTube views you get is really something of value.

    . . . goes to see what Sam's podcast is about . . .

Ah. Looks from the title like you've already decided negative attention is worthwhile, because you're definitely going to get it. I doubt anyone here is going to be all that offended, but you'd be sure to generate a little huffing and puffing and outrage if you dangled yourself in front of conservative political and culture blogs.

As far as what these guys did "right" in comparison to your situation, it's entirely about the difference between an immediately clickable video and an audio blog that you download and listen to later. If it's this sort of immediate feedback you're looking for, turn your chapters into 3 minute vlogs instead of audio. Then you, too, can be yelled at by the mods for spamming!

What does what I wrote have to do with my user name?

I have absolutely no problem with a juvenile sense of humor. I have a big problem with rape jokes.

I would love to get into an lenghty argument about how your juvenile sense of humor is no better than these creepos, but I made too many posts today and will be taking the week off to get in touch with my "authentic aura". I would advise you to do the same, but you just took a dump.

Were you raped by a rape joke?

    How sad for you.

I chose my username as a reminder not to take anything posted on a message board seriously enough to get into a flamewar over. I've seen some cool virtual communities break down because people forget that.

    THAT'S NOT FUNNY!

I don't think rape jokes are inherently bad; some are fantastic (eg, every Norm MacDonald prison joke ever). It's just that inartfully-executed rape jokes are worse than most bad jokes, because they not only bomb, they genuinely hurt people's feelings.

It's the difference between the original post and this scene:

All this talk of grape jokes being bad. What is so bad about a joke about grapes?

JTAD, you are disrupting my etheric vibes with your ignorance to sarcasm and your now reveled sub-plot as a internet nomad looking for life beyond the thunderboard.

I love Norm MacDonald, but that just didn't seem funny to me. It was okay, and certainly unoffensive, but not all that funny.

Oh I was just being snarky is all. I am quite grateful for the lack of negative attention. Although, maybe I do need to include more disturbingly inappropriate rape jokes.

And lord knows I've produced my share of crap that I can't even watch. And I really try not to hold up a goofy amateur comedy video on Youtube to any kind of professional standard.

So I'm going to leave aside any kind of opinion about the quality, and say - I've actually sat through maybe two-thirds of the videos on your channel, and there is a lot of sexual assault humor in them. A lot. Like, a "would make me think twice about letting you babysit my kids**" amount of sexual assault humor.

Like, a "your Youtube channel actually had to go door-to-door and announce that it had moved into my neighborhood" amount.

Like, a "my droogs had their eyes pried open, watching this Youtube channel while Beethoven's Fifth blasted in the background" amount. Okay, maybe not that much.

Then again, I just get uncomfortable with a lot of rape humor. And it could very well be that I'm reaching an age where angry, edgy stuff is no longer as entertaining to me personally as it once was. But really, you might want to think about it as you attempt to make your way in the world of mass entertainment.

I guess the moral of this story is, this is a very slow holiday for me, and I have the time to sit around watching, and then thinking about, and then commenting on, Youtube comedy videos.

Thanks for the review. I normally dont get this much negative feed back from one forum. I have read everyone messages and will be create newer videos with less sexual jokes to them.

Thank you for taking the time to watch my videos and reviewing with a very interesting words.

Not a bit of that makes sense. I know it's not all supposed to, but the characters have absolutely no reason for doing the things they do.

And the delivery of the lines could use work.
