So weird that Mayer is getting in the shit for that interview. The three quotes in BHF's post sound like David Cross and Louis CK, but not as considered or practiced. Especially in context, there is just nothing objectionable about the content of that interview, and I'm usually one of the first people to call racism.

Would you say the same thing about Michael Richards? Was he just trying to be funny? Has John Mayer ever made a "joke" about something that isn't potentially offensive? I think Mayer's problem is that his popular status is as a vanilla music guy, so I don't think most people will contextualize his comments as a comedian. Which means shitstorm for him.
His main crime would seem to be more that he's a talentless idiot who is more than a bit out of touch.
The Michael Richards incident is a far cry from this interview.
Everything that John Mayer is saying is in the context of him taking the piss. I'm not saying it's funny, I'm saying he's trying.
I think you can question the source of Richards' outburst. Whether it came from a source of anger or a source of desperately trying and failing to be funny is very important.
I don't think you can question whether or not John Mayer saying his dick is like a white supremacist comes from a deep seated belief that all other races are inferior. It's a ridiculous supposition. You can say racist things without being racist, it depends upon your intent. I just see no intent here. There's just not enough basis for me to assume he's a racist. Is it possible? Sure. Just because you think he's a douchebag doesn't mean you should automatically assume the worst about him, though.

Oh, and although being white doesn't preclude you from having opinions about race, if you're not a musician it's difficult to take your thoughts on whether or not John Mayer is talented seriously. He's got music in his bones. Not all of his songs reflect that, admittedly, but you can't fake your way through live performance like his.

This from a forum community that loves Louis CK, a comedian who makes jokes about, among other things, rushing home to take a shit, why saying nigger is better than saying "the n-word," and his groin looking like a pig's ass complete with a curly-cue penis. Not to mention David Cross, who told a joke that is basically just the reverse of Mayer's racist penis bit (Strom Thurmond and his colorblind johnson), and was one of the showrunners of a sketch show that once featured a fictional standup comic named Fartin' Gary whose entire act was farting on stage.
Misogynistic? Because he jerks off, talks about his sexual technique, and says having sex with Jessica Simpson was fun?

That was weird, it started off really sexy with the nice background beat and then it just got long winded and stumbly and I'm sure after 4 minutes the drummer was looking around like "can I stop now ? what are we doing here?"

There's a little something called "justification" and "premise" that's missing from Mayer's "routine" but is present in all of those other things you mentioned.
