Thread: Kyle Cease

    ANT!!

    I'm in.
Night gathers, and now my snark begins. It shall not end until it gets hacky. I shall take my wife(... please!), hold no lands, father no negative ratings. I shall wear no crowns and win no AST Top 20 Rankings. I shall live and die by my posts. I am the LOL in the darkness. I am the fire that burns against the trolls, the sneer that guards the realms of men from Kyle Cease's Comedy Boot Camp. I pledge my life and honor to the AST's Watch, for this night and all the nights to come.

There is an earlier trailer which was deleted. Todd Barry is reputed to have saved it before it was taken down.
    This is just awful.

"Other Comedy classes will tell you which jokes to tell" - Really Kyle? How 'bout backin' that shit up, cause it sounds completely made up.

Learning how to be interviewed on the radio? Are there really otherwise good comedians that can't crack the code on how to talk to other human beings conversationally?

And of course, there's Ant, Comedian/Celebrity...

Chris Porter couldn't even be bothered to get the name of it right.

I hope this other trailer surfaces. I had never seen much of his stand up, but this is just awful. And I take it from no price listed on the site that it is obscenely expensive. I suppose hearing about the business side of it could be somewhat helpful, but that's about it.

And hearing Todd has it just makes me wish he would make a parody video of what a Todd Barry Stand Up Boot Camp would be like.

    It is biz-awful.

But I gotta hand it to him --- Waikiki Beach is a comedy Mecca!
What would you like to see at the end of every one of my posts?

    Re: Kyle Cease

Should I apologize for not saving the original video? Ack. You can ask Todd all you want to upload it somewhere again, but why would you, when you can watch the one true actual comedy bootcamp. Drew Carey, FTW:

The cost was $600 for the 3 day bootcamp.

    Re: Kyle Cease

That bootcamp is one of the most pretentious things I've ever seen.

    "Be amazing."

    THAT IS AWESOME ADVICE. Gross.
    many tine tanies

    Re: Kyle Cease

"Be truthful. Be amazing. If you wear your hat backwards be honest about it. Other comedy bootacmps are afraif to tell you that."

The second chick who gives the testimonial is definitely ripped on blow.

    "It's the best well-spent money I've actually....spent."
What was the best concert you've been to?

-- Probably Sade. It was just so sexy and relaxing.

    Re: Kyle Cease

I happen to actually enjoy Cease's standup, I guess making me in the minority here. I like his strong personality on stage, but as opposed to the also energetic Cook, doesn't try to pass of "AND I PUNCHED HIM IN THE FACE" as a punchline.

    Re: Kyle Cease

now where does one attend a punching people in the face bootcamp? that's what i want to know.

don't say the army. those guys use guns... also, i'm gay.
"This is not the Beach Boys. It can't be. Why? No beach songs! I thought it was some kind of joke. All 'Pet Sounds' offers is the opportunity to hear Brian Wilson whine for forty minutes, backed by elevator music. There's barely any Mike Love on the album at all."

    Diggin' the beach backdrop!

    "He means STAND-UP BOOTCAMP!"

    Re: Kyle Cease

regarding this standup bootcamp - the truth is there are a lot of comedy classes, workshops, courses, coaches, etc out there for newcomers to pick from. I imagine that most (not all) are similar to the guy on Borat teaching "not" jokes. I'm sure that's not the reality, but I like to imagine it that way. I know there are different thoughts on whether there should even BE comedy classes. Can comedy be taught at all? What's the best way? I don't know. But Kyle Cease has put together a 60 hour course that involves other industry professionals teaching more than Kyle himself. Sure, he speaks too, and yes, maybe its more positive thinking rhetoric than some of you may want to hear. The point is that for those who who think a comedy class is useful - this comedy class has something for everyone (for everyone that fits into that bubble I mean.) For those who are against comedy instruction - well you'll still be against it either way.
Imagine this is really clever and really funny.

    You still aren't promoting this?

    Re: Kyle Cease

If I was promoting it I would of said something like "
The Kyle Cease Stand-up Bootcamp is an all encompassing exclusive comedy class where new and experienced comics alike discover what it takes to become completely successful in the world of comedy. You will get the opportunity to work with stand-up legends Jon Lovitz and Louie Anderson as well as headliners like Tom Wilson, Wendy Liebman, Steve Bryne, Alonzo Bodden, Bryan Callen, ANT, Chris Porter, and John Heffron. You will be completely immersed in the comedy industry for 60 hours at the all new Jon Lovitz Comedy Club in Universal City, CA."

then I would have explained the three packages you have to choose from with rates and links to the club where you can signup like "Economy Package

Learn from and meet all comedians. Be immersed in comedy for SIXTY HOURS. Learn the psychology of the most successful stand up comics, not just people who barely do it. Make connections with students, comedians, and industry. (That’s right, 60 hours with all these people for only 695 dollars. That’s only 11 dollars an hour!) Recommended for beginners. Seating is limited.

    Cost - $599

    Sign Up Now - http://www.ticketbiscuit.com/JonLovi...spx?EID=37622&

    *Executive package*

Learn from and meet all comedians. Be immersed in comedy for sixty hours. Learn the psychology of the most successful stand-up comics. Make the biggest connections possible. *Get one on one coaching all day for 2 days with the stars* Work in groups of 5 students, teamed up with a star. Get coached, get ideas, and get tags for your material, then rotate on to a new star to get a wide range of ideas from the biggest and best in the world. *Be forced to work on your act constantly, cutting the amount of writing time down and forcing you to come up with more material.* Recommended for intermediates (but not required). Seating extremely limited.

    Cost - $799

    Sign Up Now - http://www.ticketbiscuit.com/JonLovi...spx?EID=37622&

    **VIP PACKAGE**

Includes everything in executive package PLUS:

**Front row seats the entire week, giving you priority over questions**

**Showcase your 5 minute set for everyone, agents, managers, talent scouts, headliners, on a 3 camera shoot**

Recommended for advanced (but not required)

    Seating Limited to TWENTY people

    Cost - $999

    Sign Up Now - http://www.ticketbiscuit.com/JonLovitzComedyClub/BuyTickets.aspx?EID=37622&"

But you are correct, I'm not doing that here because this is not the forum for that sort of thing. Clearly.
Imagine this is really clever and really funny.
