Hey, awesome. I wasn't expecting Jesse, although now that I think about it, why wasn't I expecting Jesse?

"Fitting in" is a great ep. descr... Wish I had thought of it! I went with something else.
Love this episode. Thanks for posting it early Andrew
Great round of "Judge Jimmy." Keep the lawyer voice, Matt. Love it!
Having not heard of Jesse Thorn (other than him being mentioned on the earlier episodes) now I want to check out his podcast because this episode was great. And thanks to Andrew for the advanced video because this really is one that needs to be seen.
Haha I love the Judge Jimmy animation in the video. Also Jesse Thorn was a great guest. What a fantastic looking suit. He looked like the Atticus Finch of that courtroom.
I don't remember Jimmy's initial appearance on Jordan, Jesse Go, but Jimmy and Matt's appearance in Episode #48 was excellent. I'm pretty sure that i discovered Jordan, Jesse Go from Jimmy's initial appearance (without Matt) back in Episode #8, though he apparently was briefly in Episode #7.
NNF fans should definitely listen to these episodes. It costs zero dollars.
Other related links: http://www.maximumfun.org and http://www.maxfuncon. As of this morning, there was still one spot open for MaxFunCon. I'm already going. If people have comedy nerd suggestions for LA on the days surrounding June 12-14, i'd be interested. I haven't bought my plane tickets yet, but i intend staying longer than just that weekend. The UCB hasn't put up their schedule for those days yet.
Man, Jesse Thorn is truly one of my heroes, and this episode was great.
ALSO: I like that the Audible spots were left in, especially the little "Bad Cop" reference in the second that wouldn't make sense in any other context.

One reason why it wouldn't help for the guy to bag his own groceries while the cashier moves on to help the other customers is that the cashier would be scanning items and pushing them into the bagging area confusing which items each customer bought.
With that said, stop being a dick help the fucking guy.

Huh? Wha? No no no! There is no commingling of grocery items. So don't worry, your organic, free range mink stew will not be contaminated by the next customer's Sooper Krunchy Deep Fried Lard 'n' Fat Snak Bites.
Bagging the groceries as the cashier scans* your order just lets him/her get to the next customer sooner, since you are bagging as he is scanning.
NathanSMART?!?!?! More like NathanNOTSOSMART if you ask me AMIRITE?
*(I originally wrote "rings up your order" but then realized there is no more ringing up, and that I am pathetically old. What am I a hundred? What, does he look for a price sticker and punch in the price? Does he hand-tabulate the total on a scratch pad made of old butcher paper? Does he get out some hand-pressed vellum and a quill? Some papyrus and a... um... papyrus-writer-on-thingie? Does he get out some soft clay and a cuneiform wedge to figure out your total?)
I feel very passionately about this.
Well, that's a different story. I didn't realize that the bagging and ringing up were joined together. In that instance, it only reinforces my belief that you should help. My whole point is that if they are separate it doesn't help the cashier to go any faster because he would have to wait until all the groceries are put in their bags before he could ring in the next ones.
But, like I said earlier, help the frickin' guy.

Like "torture" we may not agree on the exact definition of "being a lameass and not helping the frickin' guy" but we can both agree it's wrong.
Help the guy already you lazy, no-good, deadbeats! You know who you are.
For the book: You know Sha Na Na performed at Woodstock. Crazy right?!
Since the book is on hold, the current repository for such things is at the Obvious Trivia blog. So I put your Sha Na Na info there.
I still need to add anything from past shows, but I'm too lazy to go back through the archives.
that estelle getty one is still wrong though
Garrett Gonzalez Morris (born February 1, 1937) is an American comedian and actor from New Orleans, Louisiana. He was part of the original cast of the sketch comedy program Saturday Night Live, appearing from 1975 to 1980
For the British flautist, see Gareth Morris.
I guess the correct obvious trivia is that Estelle Getty was younger than the actress who played her daughter on "Golden Girls" (Bea Arthur, b. 5.13.1922). I remember hearing more than once that she was the youngest of all of them, even on TV (which is never wrong), so it was a widespread fallacy. But Rue McClennahan was born in '34, so she was the youngest (Getty was second-youngest).
