Google Books has every issue of Spin magazine. This was in one.

Oh yeah, someone over at the SNL message boards found this, which I had a copy of for many years:

    http://books.google.com/books?id=P-W...age&q=&f=false

Very interesting reading as a look back at early 90's SNL.

Wow, I obsessively read that SPIN cover to cover at least 100 times when it came out. I may still have it in a storage box somewhere. If anyone held a gun to my head and asked me to name the show's lighting director, my life would be saved because of it.

Perfect timing as always, Brasky! I just started watching SNL on Netflix Instant (currently on season 1, episode 6). This will be some great companion reading. I wonder if I'll soon be reliving my Martin Short crush all over again.

    Good news, bad news.

Good news. Brian Posehn will be appearing on this Saturday's "That Metal Show" on VH1 Classic.

Bad news...in the promo, he's introduced as Brian "POH-zun" (and I assume that Patton's accurate when he introduces him as Brian "poh-SAYN").

Florentine should know better. Eddie Trunk, he's very proud of his depth of knowledge but I've also seen him in his guy-liner days, so he's not immune to making mistakes...

Just weird to see a promo for a non-live show that has a basic error like that--I mean, it's not like Brian couldn't have simply corrected them and they'd go for take two...

pg--Or maybe it's one of those Steve Buscemi things and no one knows how pronounce it properly...not even Steve--seattle

UPDATE: Someone must have noticed the error as the promo has now been re-voiced...and the unidentified booth announcer, at least, gets it right. Crisis averted for now.

We'll just take the fact that this was too long and that you didn't read it...as read.

    Hit piece on Chelssa Handler:

    http://www.salon.com/entertainment/t...dler_rules_all

    contains this:

I don't care that she dares to appear bikini-clad on the covers of Shape and Playboy. So what if those are comedy dues that Louis CK, Zach Galifianakis, Artie Lange and Patton Oswald didn't exactly pay?

    That's a weird list, there.

How do you get Galifianakis right but Oswalt wrong?

So now a grammatical error on top of a misspelling! This thread has gone off the rails.

E-trade baby commercials to be turned into a movie

This is only notable because the screenwriter is Katie Dippold , who I believe is a UCB alumnus who is currently writing for "Parks and Recreation" (She wrote the summer catalog episode).

So I see the "Aqua Teen Hunger Force Live Show" is coming to the Pacific Northwest. The Seattle show is the day after I drive to Portland, and the Portland show is the Friday of the Bridgetown Comedy Festival, when I expect to already have things to see.

    Phooey!

Re: The "not worth its own thread" thread

I have to share this with someone:

I just got a call from my friend, saying that her cousin just had some new neighbors move in next door to her....Joe Lo Truglio and Beth Dover!!!!

She didn't even know who they were, but someone told her he was on Reno, and when she called me to ask for my expert nerd advice, I was able to tell her that she's living next to comedy GOLD!

Totally not worth it's own thread, but so super cool.
