Has anyone started a NYC Tompkins 300 group? I haven't seen it. I would commit to see Paul in a cool New York venue in a heartbeat, but it would stretch me pretty thin to be the ringleader. Was hoping one of you gentleman loafers would pick up the ball and run with it. What's the holdup? I am waiting to join your group!

I will step up and start this thing if no one else will, but I obviously don't have the bona fides, the gravitas, of an aenemaTron, a billynord, a smartbunny, a klaus_kinski, or some of the other New York-based ASTers. I love PFT but someone else here might be better equipped to pull this off more quickly and more successfully.)

I have a story about Paul.
I attended the TV Taping of Live at Gotham when Paul hosted...
The day before Comedy Central was taping The Doug Benson episode and a large number of people were shut out of the taping even though we were all on time. When they told us we weren't getting it many many people were very angry, but they offered us VIP tickets to the next nights taping with PFT. This wasn't enough for a few people who continued to yell at the people taking names for the VIP list, so the offer was taken away from the people not being calm.
The next day I walked up to Gotham and saw two of the uninvited people standing down the street. I got in line and didn't think about it anymore. PFT Showed up in the lobby area of Gotham and was checking his phone.. he then left the front of the club and returned a bit later and that was that.
While I was waiting for the show to start and then the couple that i knew was uninvited walked in and were seated right up front. Anyway, the show went on and was very good etc etc.
I got home later than night and was checking twitter and realized what had happened with that couple. They had Twittered PFT while they were standing outside telling him they weren't able to get in... so he went out and got them in for the show (don't know if he got them the front row seats).
I thought it was a great display of what a nice guy PFT is. It shows great character when someone goes above and beyond for their fans.
9 people away in the Chicago group. I just invited seven friends who I feel good about getting to the show, certainly we can get just a few more to make sure we've got this locked up by the end of the day...
