Totally agree. Nearly everything on this show is a TV show parody (That accounts for about 95% of the material). Then they pepper in those "I can't believe how wacky they are" one-note characters like Riley and Gilly. For God's sake, their names are even similar. When they start in with that hokey theme music, which was old back when they used it for Pat, it's always time to change the channel.

If you are a fan of Sigourney cleavage, then it is absolutely worth your time. Otherwise, no.

Why is Keenan now the star of the show?

Kenan was easily my least favourite for years, but even by episode 3 of this season I was saying I think Kenan is the best thing about the show now...its a combination of both him getting better, while everyone else has either gotten worse (Andy at least try make it look like your not reading of cuecards) or is mining the exact same territory (insert any cast members name here)

I love that they realized that 'Deep House Dish' has run its course, and so they just re-titled it 'Disco Train Party' or whatever, set it in the 70s, and did it anyway...

I liked the Streep impression. It's just the kind of out of left field, unexpected impression that I was hoping to see a lot more of when they brought Abby on board.

I didn't really think the Streep impression was all that good.

The last skit of the night was good. Bobby Moynihan always makes me happy, and it was a simple premise well-executed without taking eight minutes.

Yeah, I'm with you there. It was short and sweet and Moynihan does both smarm and dismay really well. For some reason Samberg's goose poem really cracked me up, probably because I really didn't see the squawk coming. Laser Cats 5 was a fine effort, although hopefully the last we'll see of that one.

The rest was weak, even though nothing was quite as awful as the cold open. There was so much potential in the Conan/Jay/Dave axis that I guess they just were overwhelmed by all the options. My money was on a presidential-style debate with the ghost of Carson as moderator. Ah, well...

I agree that he's better than he used to be but I'm still not a fan.

It must be frustrating to write weird, funny, unique sketches, make everyone in the room laugh, then on Saturday night watch as none of them are in the show. There should be Saturday Night Live, then Sunday Night Live where they show all the "edgy" sketches that you can't air on a show like Saturday Night Live.

    Re: Saturday Night Live

I hear NBC is actually planning on running a second SNL, they are somewhat clearing house with the cast possibly keeping one or two writers and performers but trying to find some new faces, that new cast will be heading up "Saturday Night Live" in the regular time slot.

Now here's where it gets interesting, they're going to move the current cast to 10 on Saturday, for "The Saturday Night Show" there's even rumors of them bringing back some of the bigger stars to join the cast. Not naming names but *cough* ellen cleghorne *cough*

I for one think its a super cool idea that cant possibly go wrong

Anyone know where I can find video of the sketch Chris Kattan did five times in 2003, the "Live at the Rialto" Vegas sketch? I was never a big fan of his but that and the gay designer guy who made funny noises makes me laugh like a tardy chimp.
