Very strong episode. I loved it when Eric came in with the autotuning.

Greatest way to end an episode of Awesome Show.

Damn man you should go back to Comedy, without the high expectations of the series returning etc, it's a really funny episode.

Yep. The ending to this last episode really made me laugh.

Overall, I'm a Tim and Eric fan, but I much preferred Tom Goes to the Mayor to their current show. I think the structure and linear-ness of TGTTM really made for a more entertaining show. There seemed to be more of a Bob Odenkirk influence on the writing of TGTTM too. Even though the plotlines of TGTTM were sometimes crazy, it was all within a traditional sitcom-esque structure, and I think that worked out well for them.

The cable access-ish atmosphere of Awesome Show is OK, but gets a little tiresome for me after a while. When everything is insane and "WTF" all the time, it gets hard to care anymore. That kind of humor may have appealed to me when I was in my 20s, but nowadays I prefer things with actual plot and jokes. Actually, their "Father and Son" short showed that they can still pull off traditional narrative (and good acting) when they try, I just thought it was a little out of place for Funny or Die.

I was in the meatpacking district in NYC yesterday when I walked by this incredibly tacky and awesome mural of Dr. Steve Brule (with tiny little Tim and Eric at the bottom of the image). I haven't read through this thread but I did search on "mural" so I'm sorry if I'm repeating something here. Does anyone know about this? It's approximately a block north of the big new Standard Hotel at Washington and 13th Street, I think.

I agree with you, the show is tiring a bit, it feels like the show is on "auto-pilot" . Im a big T&E fan, and id like to see them move on and evolve

I couldn't disagree more. While I like TGTTM a lot, Tim and Eric did not come into their own as a unique presence in comedy until Awesome Show. TGTTM just seemed like a good AS show to me, while T&EASGJ! is more original and interesting.

45% of the time I have no idea what is going on, and I figure that's about right.

I'm now Facebook friends with Richard Dunn. I got this message from him today:

    Richard sent you a message.

    Re: Tim and Eric Thread

I apologize if no one else finds this as hilarious or awesome as I do, but I did what Richard asked in his message, requested him as a friend, and got this back:

    "
Between You and Richard Dunn VII

Richard Dunn VII April 1 at 1:27pm Report
go to my profile on facebook look for the link to add friend on my new facebook site"

So if it's not the real Richard Dunn, whoever it is is playing a hilarious prank on me!

I like them better than the "I'm on a horse now" Old Spice commercials.

Those are awesome. Of course, I could watch President Camacho scream the phone book and be thoroughly entertained.
