"We have the best comedy team in the business. We remain committed to keeping Conan O’Brien on NBC. ."
HOW ABOUT ON THE TONIGHT SHOW. THE TONIGHT SHOW. YOU FUCKS. AHHHHHHH.
Garrett Gonzalez Morris (born February 1, 1937) is an American comedian and actor from New Orleans, Louisiana. He was part of the original cast of the sketch comedy program Saturday Night Live, appearing from 1975 to 1980
For the British flautist, see Gareth Morris.
Conan should go to fox. Keep it based in la, but go back to more of a "late night show" feel. "late night" with la talent sounds really nice.
I remember Conan had a clause that would get him a huge payday if he didn't get the show. I wonder if the 7-month stint would absolve NBC of that commitment.
Gotta keep Jay on the air, if only to keep angry old people from driving onto boardwalks.
Even though this is all horrible and everyone's in a state of panic and the future is terribly uncertain and nervous breakdowns are happening everywhere, I've found a terrific calmness and joy in Everest's avatar.

Leno just talked about the rumor that his show was canceled and said that it would give them time to do some traveling and that "FOX is beautiful this time of year".
Fox deserves him, Leno's shitty show can be on right after "Are You Smarter Than A 5th Grader"
Except if anything it will go against Letterman and Conan, and sadly I can predict who loses out in the ratings game in that scenario.
Winter is Coming: Summer 2011.
What is NBC afraid of though? Leno's 10 o'clock show ratings have been shit, so why do they think if he started a new show on a different channel he'd suddenly be a ratings powerhouse? It's not like he'd suddenly be funny on another channel and most of his fans are old people who would forget what channel he's on now most of the time. What are they risking if they cancel Leno?

Jersey City's infamous comedy group, The Upset Triangle
The feeling I get is that this is all to ease/appease Comcast. Comcast doesn't want a majority share in a network with pissed off affiliates and shit ratings. NBC is pre-emptively saying to Comcast, "Oh, that ain't no thang! We can fix it!"
I think this is all because of Conan's ratings loss to Letterman. A way to fix it? CANCEL LENO.
Alan Sepinwall said this earlier in the comments on his blog:
Viewing habits, once broken, aren't always so easily unbroken, even in a relatively short period of time. I've heard from a lot of Leno fans (remember, I write for a newspaper with an older readership) who seem very happy to have Jay on at 10 so they can go to bed early. They may not want to stay up late anymore.
