My advice is to just wait it out. Don't worry, you can always count on Jay to pull through.

Haha, now I see the flow.

damn! I was really hoping boomlaut would catch on. eh i'll keep trying
Sarah Palin and Jay Leno, together. Come on tsunami! Come on!
What an all star night.
Sarah Palin is such a good sport, it's great how she can make fun of how stupid she is, even when her stupidity effects the lives of thousands of people!
Formally Max Geinachoff.
Yeah, let's make a thread just to bash on Jay Leno for how hacky and lame he is... and then start bashing on Sarah Palin as his guest.
AST has seen better days.
Ah yes, the good old days of April, 2009...
Back when AST knew better than to bash on comics it doesn't like and would never, ever make fun of a politician.
It's like I don't even know you anymore, AST.
"Even gutter hags trump pretty boys." - BabyCakes
Yes, no one has ever read AST before their current Screen Name Join Date... and certainly no one has had earlier Member Names.
My point was... the whole "Jay Leno sucks for several reasons, but one of which is that he's hacky and does obvious material, oh and by the way he's got Sarah Palin on his first week, she's so dumb!" is... yknow, silly.
I think this thread has been very pro-jay leno. *Maybe you are reading it wrong.
*One of the nominees for the slogan to put on the AST Crest along with "Well I asked my wife and..." and "I'm sorry, but"
Garrett Gonzalez Morris (born February 1, 1937) is an American comedian and actor from New Orleans, Louisiana. He was part of the original cast of the sketch comedy program Saturday Night Live, appearing from 1975 to 1980
For the British flautist, see Gareth Morris.
Woops stayed away from this thread for too long and couldn't defend my, yes, completely obvious joke that had been done several times before. In the spirit of the thread, I should have made some quip about Monica Lewinsky instead.
cue Dancing Itos.
boomlaut, out.
Night gathers, and now my snark begins. It shall not end until it gets hacky. I shall take my wife(... please!), hold no lands, father no negative ratings. I shall wear no crowns and win no AST Top 20 Rankings. I shall live and die by my posts. I am the LOL in the darkness. I am the fire that burns against the trolls, the sneer that guards the realms of men from Kyle Cease's Comedy Boot Camp. I pledge my life and honor to the AST's Watch, for this night and all the nights to come.
This thread reminds me of that show Boomtown.
Man...do you think that Conan O'Brien guy was sitting at home, all unemployed and stuff, and watched these first couple of Jay's brand new show, thinking to himself... "Oh yeah, THAT'S how it's done! Man, I wish I'd listened to Ebersol's advice..."

We'll just take the fact that this was too long and that you didn't read it...as read.
That show "Southland" reminds me of that show "Boomtown."

Hey...this thread isn't about Jay Leno at all. It's just a cheap ruse to improve your esteem through helpful post ratings.

As expected, viewers definitely tuned in to see Jay Leno’s return to The Tonight Show last night: the comedian led the time period over Late Show with David Letterman and ABC’s combination of Nightline and Jimmy Kimmel Live by 80 percent, according to NBC. Leno scored a 5.4 rating/14 share in 56 metered markets last night while Letterman earned a 3.0/8, Nightline, a 3.4/8 and Live, a 1.8/6. In the 25 markets with People Meters, Leno was No. 1 in the time period.
At 12:35 a.m, Late Night with Jimmy Fallon also beat CBS’s Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson by a margin of 40 percent. NBC is expected to release early national ratings later today.
UPDATE: NBC released fast national ratings from Monday, which revealed that Leno attracted 6.6 million viewers on his first night back, while Letterman lured 3.8 million. Leno earned a 1.6 rating in the 18-49 demo, versus a 1.1 rating for Letterman. For more

...man I wish they had asked Howard Stern to do Idol. That would have made that show worth watching with him trashing the contestants and Ellen probably too.
Tonight! Musical guests David & David.

I'm trying to figure out how to respond to this in a non-dickish way.....but, I can't come up with anything.-CarolineEAnd
