Mmmm... I need to track down that pancake truck with the ube pancakes because they look out of this world! There is this place in LA called Metro Cafe where the make the best banana pancakes.

In the spirit of awesome pancakes...

Chocolate chip, toasted macadamia nut pancakes with coconut syrup.

Re: Can I interest anyone in some FOOD?

the ube pancakes were meh. I might just be against them because I'm not a fan of Ube. Which I probably should be persecuted for since I'm Filipino.

The red velvet pancakes are what you should go to the truck for. Holy hell they are delicious every time. I'm not even a huge fan of red velvet, but these are amazing. Especially when they're right off the truck and the chocolate chips are just perfectly melted.

The banana pancakes remind me of the pancakes at Polly's. They have some pretty good banana macadamia nut pancakes... I think this is also the only thing on the menu that's good.

seriously, how am I not 600lbs.

Ha! Weird, I fell in love with Ube in the Philippines but I am white.

You must have an awesome camera with you 24/7 because every pic you post makes my mouth water. And it is always local to me! WHOOHOO! BTW went to Donut Man. It was everything your picture made it out to be! Thanks for the info.

I'm amazed I am not the size of a small whale with how much I love to eat.

I'm splitting a large CSA share with a friend of mine... we always cook together so I think this will be a lot of fun! http://www.onestrawfarm.com

It's so nice... we can pick it up right at this restaurant next to my house. I'm looking forward to kind of being forced to cook whatever's available.

Ha! I love Filets O' Fish! I admit that I can't eat them as often as I like (probably about once a year or so)...but goddamn they're like heaven. Fried cod meat slathered in Tartar sauce and that soft bullshit McD bun!

Also, eating in the car totally burns calories at the same time because you have to steer and use the pedals, so I'm totally with you on that.

    Actually: http://www.epicconstructions.com/mirror/mcd/

I made the hamburgers and they tasted just like McDonald's hamburgers - it's the spice mix they sprinkle on there.

My fiance and I get a box twice a week and it is truly inspirational. Totally changed the way I cook. It also makes you cook a lot more because once the box comes, the timer starts! Those organics yummies don't last nearly as long as conventional produce. It's always a race to the finish. Sometimes, we have one sad little wrinkly kiwi at the end

I've been hearing a lot about macarons lately, and I would like to try them.

One time I made hamburgers in my panini press. They tasted exactly like McDonald's hamburgers because they were dry and flavorless.

really? a place where the whole point of its existence is packing as much ridiculous flavors into one little meal - you're saying they are flavorless? Sure, you may not like the flavor, but a place that pours MSG, pepper, salt and onion powder all over its burgers (liberally) is hardly flavorless.

I don't care if you don't like McDonald's but, really, no one does.

Since we were talking about McDo... Mmmmm Spam, Portuguese sausage, egg and rice. SIIIIIGH... sooo good! Grrrrr... I was actually looking for my McRice burger and sugar-y spaghetti pic from McD's in Makati.

No no no Mini Eggs are THE SHIT. The cream eggs are the worst thing ever, but the Mini Eggs are a delight.

They are pretty tasty for what they are. I'd rather eat an actual raw egg than a creme egg.

Aah, withdrawn then. What are those, like egg-shaped m&ms?

My girlfriend stumbled upon the finest site on the internet: Foodzie. Fucking hand-made foods shipped straight to your door. They have peppercorn bacon, organic petite fours, fruit-flavored honey cremes, and single malt scotch chocolate bars.

I want to get up in this website's guts.
    I'm in.
