So...after using friends' wii fit over the holidays, I'm considering getting one and getting myself in "shape." Anyone have an experience with the non-wii fit exercise games?

I don't know why I'm so excited about this...But I bought a wireless 360 drumset for Rockband on my lunch break today. My wired set that I've had since the first game came out has been abused, the kick pedal was broken and I can't find one leg of the stand. So I decided to get a new wireless one, and I'm going to try to use the old one as a drum pad for recordings (I've seen YouTube) videos on it. So that's cool...and I've been dying to play Beatles Rockband on the drums, so yay me?
Obviously neither of them thought to play the vocals.
That's kind of what I was thinking...though in their defense maybe they only had a guitar controller or something. Still, put it on No fail, drop in a vocals player...and read...oh wait. I found the issue I think.
All I'm saying is that when I finally had to sing "I Am The Walrus" with lyrics popping on the screen, I was utterly blown away by how I didn't actually know most of the lyrics going on.
Oompa, Oompa, Stick in Your Jumper blew me away too.
I thought I was getting better at the controls in Batman.
Then I met Bane.
Its all about using the Batarang, isoS.
As for my current playthrough of Dragon Age, I love it and have all the characters except Zevran. Turns out I killed with without ever being given any indication that he was a potential party member and not just some random bastard who was attacking me. For a BioWare game, this one really has the most consequences for actions, even without the presence of a pesky alignment bar.
I've taken a total break from video games to study for grad school entrance exams, but I have been using my newly purchased DS mainly to play math games on brain age. I gotta say, I really like using it. I am so tempted to get actual games for it, but I must hold back for at least three more weeks.

Yes, but then you have to dodge, attack, pull his tubes out, repeat a few times and handle a bunch of goons all while shit is being thrown at you. I'll get it eventually, but it's really forcing me to be more meticulous and precise than I'm used to in a video game fight (GTA ruined me with its sloppy, indiscriminate fight system -- you could always just walk away, find a bigger gun, then come back and destroy everyone).
Darksiders is a lot of fun so far, kind of a Devil May Cry, God of War vibe to it. story is pretty solid though kind of predictable. Boss battles are oddly without strategy button mashy. Combat kind of similar to Batman in that you can have it look pretty and fluid or you can spam primary attack until enemies die.

Good news for frugal Wii Piiple:

Only thing is, I thought Nintendo was already selling a wiimote with motion plus built in -- was I mistaken?
It's not actually built in, but they come together for $49.99. It's the black one.
$45 at Amazon right now
Anyone tried these Nyko remotes? I've read they're not so hot.
Third party controllers are always shit. Have always been shit. Will always be shit.
