Has anyone played the Xbox Live Arcade game Castle Crashers? I highly recommend it. Its by the makers of Alien Hominid and it has some great single player and multiplayer gameplay. Heres the review http://www.gamespot.com/xbox360/acti...y;watch-review

EA Sports NHL 09 is out on Sept. 11 (never forget). I am really digging the demo, especially the limited "Be A Pro" mode. Those of you who are getting this game for the X-Box 360, I implore you to friend me (gamertag: Crackerbag) and let's start a team. A Special Team. Get it?

All the negative press on Spore is to be believed. I'm on the third phase and everything so far has felt like a chore. It's five good game types crammed into one bloated mass. I hear the final stage is fun, but I'm not sure I want to keep playing to get to that point. I ate the hype on the game so hard, I can't help but feel severely disappointed.

I should be on by the end of the month. I'm down and I have a couple of friends that want in. It would be best to get about 30-40 people on a team so real-life conflicts would never keep us from fielding a complete team for scheduled games.

I have been playing Tales of Vesperia. I bought it to kill time until Fallout 3, but it's been a pleasant surprise. I have never played any of the Tales games, even though I am a big, lazy RPG nerd. It's really beautiful looking. And the main character, Yuri, talks -- you RPG people know what I mean -- and he says actually funny things in a snarky way.

Are there any decent games on the iPhone/iPod Touch? I just got "The Touch", and now that I have "The Power", I'm eyeing the Spore game and Vay wondering if they're worth $5-6.

I have this one called Aurora Feint that is pretty fun - and last time I checked it was free. I also like the Texas Hold 'Em game but I realize how dumb that is.

If you like Arkanoid, get Ikanoid. Motion X Poker is cool but gets old once you unlock everything. Dizzy Bee is brilliant but got too hard too fast for me. I mostly play mondo solitaire top 5 now.

I thought this looked interesting for 3 bucks. I don't even have an IZOD

That video reminds me that I hate watching people use iPhones, because their fingers look all shaky when they are selecting things on the screen.

    That game looks good though.

Anyone planning on getting Call of Duty: World at War?

Absolutely. Not sure how it can be much better than COD4, but I'll definitely be getting it.

I've read that they will be using the same graphics engine that COD4 used, as well as a similar perks system for multiplayer, so it is really going to come down to the story.

A lot of people seem to be mad that they are returning to WWII but I think putting it in the Pacific theater brings a lot of opportunities for fresh gameplay.

I do wish someone would make a really good Vietnam game for the current-gen consoles.

Frustrated at the fact that my local Gamestop will not carry Spore, I picked up No More Heroes for Wii. It's really quite strange, but I really quite like it. It's a sandboxy, run-around-a-city kind of thing, where you fight with light sabers. The fighting, in particular makes excellent use of the Wii motion controls, and it is incredibly satisfying to pull off these crazy moves.

In between chopping up people with fluorescent tubes, you have to run around and do menial jobs for money. I really really like just playing the lawn mowing minigame over and over again. It's oddly zen-like and very satisfying.

    why won't they carry spore?

That's a Slate story about how some people are upset with Spore because it allegedly promotes an Intelligent Design agenda.

I am still waiting for Fallout 3 so that I may advance my personal Shooting Things in the Head agenda.
