I live in Bellevoid...I mean "Bellevue", Washington, a soul-less retail hell-hole located directly across Lake Washington from downtown Seattle. I'm originally from Greensboro, North Carolina, and have lived in the Pacific Northwest since May of '92. I was a professional actor, director, playwright, and script doctor for about 25 years, performing in theatres all over the Southeast and doctoring dinner theatre comedies, removing the "jokes" and replacing them with stuff that makes people laugh. (I was generally successful at this...but not always)

I have also written for radio, doing a syndicated, 90 second comedy piece called, "The Way Things Look From Here" during the 70s and 80s in the Mid-Atlantic states. I have, literally, written almost every single day of my life. I now write mystery novels and a Reader Blog for the Seattle Post-Intelligencer Online edition called "The Constant Valentine". I also own a wine shop and write wine criticism for several online sites.

That's me. Good to be here!
I lived in Seattle for 10 years back in the mid 80s-90s, I know Bellevue pretty well, and yes, I 'feel' for you. I have an aunt there actually.

I used to play music out there with 'Tingstad and Rumbel', don't know if you've heard of them, Narada Records, David Lanz? New Age Ethno 'Floaty' music...

    Hi, I'm Beefy.

I'm a nerdcore hip-hop artist from Washington state and an Amazon.com employee helping people use their Kindle 2s. Also, re: the nerdcore thing, it's hip-hop music aimed towards people who would proudly consider themselves a geek, nerd, dork, dweeb... ok maybe not dweeb. Goddamn dweebs...

Been a fan of Doug Benson for a little while and within the last few weeks have become a very big fan of Never Not Funny so thought I'd posty-post. I enjoy all of this quite a bit.

If you are interested in hearing hip-hop tracks about Zangief, table top gaming, and not getting the girl, you can check out my website at Beefyness.com (it includes free albums and 1 pay for it kind) or my myspace. Also I have a wikipedia page. still not sure how that happened.

    Hi. New to the forum

    Hi All,

I'm a new user to the forum. Well, I used to have another board name, but I don't remember what it is, and I'm here representing my new project. We're called 4.5" Raw. And we do musical standup type stuff (i know, tre original, right?)...we've been performing together doing sketch and whatnot for over 10 years, but this project has been going for about a year...playing gigs out for the last three months.

I'm James. My partner's name is Dave.

Sorry if this is a lame first post. Just wanted to say hello.

I'm Rubel, I wasn't sure about this place at first but now that I know you're all crazy I've decided to stay. I like to laugh and write about things that make me laugh. I've done comedy in the form of theater and some stand-up, I'd like to do more.

Re: New members: introduce yourselves here

    Hi internets,
    My name is Ryan Merriam.
I'm a beginning stand-up comedian. I've been going since August 2008 and I'm having a lot of fun. I have a website: www.RyanMerriam.com. I have links to clips of my stand-up as well as sketches and another blog I write for. I love all kinds of comedy but my favorite kind is stand-up. I think anyone who can get on stage and grab an audience is pretty awesome. My favorites are Jim Gaffigan, Patton Oswalt, Zach Galifianakis, Eddie Izzard, and Doug Benson. I also love tons of others, though. More than you're probably willing to read.

Re: New members: introduce yourselves here

    Hello everybody.

    I'm a weirdo.

I listenend to a lot of George Carlin growing up, idolised Steve Martin, and rolled on the floor laughing over Richard Pryor tapes. I enjoy a lot of the contemporary comedians, and if I'd had to name a few favorites I'd say Louis CK, Chris Rock, Zach Galifianakis, Lewis Black, and Sarah Silverman.

A couple of times in my life, I have said "I love you" without meaning it.

I'm Dylan, a comedy fan from the Maryland/DC area, and a longtime reader of this board. I do video, motion graphics, and animation. I might not post very often because I don't presume that every thought/opinion I have is funny or interesting to others. Perhaps you might consider adopting that mentality, you unhinged egomaniac. Yeah, you.
