Rumor has it they're not re-signing Powe due to financial constraints. The Boston Herald is waiting to chime in: NO DOUGH FO' POWE? OH NO!
Some dude at the Boston Herald already wrote the tribute to Powe, thanking him for all he's done for the Celtics in his brief time with the team.

No one wants to talk about the major four way trade that Colangelo managed to orchestrate? It's crazy.
Basically he got Turkoglu at the price he wanted in a sign and trade with Marion to keep the MLE, gets Devean George and Antoine Wright, retained Bird Rights to Carlos Delfino so if he's signed -- which is likely -- won't count against the cap which leaves the full MLE to throw at a player like Jarret Jack, Ramon Sessions, Linus Kleiza, Josh Childress or god forbid Nate Robinson. Plsu, the LLE can be used on most likely Rasho Nesterovic and the biannual exception on a guy like Matt Barnes.
Colangelo maintained financial flexibility for next year and we suddenly went from a very good starting 5 with no bench due to financial restrictions to a very good starting 5 with a fairly deep bench.
Starters:
Calderon
Derozan
Turkoglu
Bosh
Bargnani
Possible Bench:
Jarret Jack/Marcus Banks
Carlos Delfino/Antoine Wright
Matt Barnes/Devean George
Reggie Evans/Pops Mensah Bonsu
Rasho Nesterovic/Patrick O'Bryant
Delfino might start over rookie Derozan, or even Wright but still you get the picture. Turkoglu, Bosh and Bargnani is an offensive nightmare for any team and there are some solid defenders and rebounders on the bench plus Delfino who can play and defend 3 positions. Pretty interesting looking team next year. I can't wait to see what Colangelo does with the MLE.
What was the best concert you've been to?
-- Probably Sade. It was just so sexy and relaxing.
I actually heard someone on ESPN mention the "festivals" when discussing why Turkoglu chose Toronto over Portland. It made me smile.
So does Carlos Delfino dress up as Isle Delfino from Super Mario Sunshine for the Caribbean Festival every year? I know, dressing up as an entire island -- especially one that only exists in a last-generation video game -- doesn't make a lot of sense, but you have to admit this sentence isn't going anywhere and should've never been written.
All those rumors have been talked down already.
Unless you misspelled Jannero Pargo.
Welcome home, Pargcast.

Vindication!
Although I didn't realize we had a large Turkish population. That's why I like the world cup. When a team wins and the whole community drives around shouting and waving flags I get to go, "Oh, I didn't realize we had a Little Malaysia. Good for them."
Oh, and by the way both Matt Bonner and Rasho Nesterovic live in Toronto in the off season. Rasho's son was born here and is Canadian. Matt Bonner's wife is from Toronto plus he enjoys our huge Guys Who Sort Of Look Like Brian Scalabrine festival. And Charlie Villanueva's family lives in Toronto too. Part of his decision to go to Detroit was based on the proximity to Toronto and also the millions of dollars they gave him.
Don't make fun of my city. I love it.

It sounds like Boozer has to go somewhere for the Jazz to re-sign Paul Milsap, so if the Bulls don't get him who does?
I still think Boozer is far better than Millsap. Tyrus Thomas is a huge step down.
But it's hilarious to think about Tyrus in Salt Lake City.
Boozer hasn't lived up to his contract, and disappears in the playoffs. His numbers are nice, but he isn't the franchise post player that his paycheck would suggest... at least not yet. I think he needs a change of scenery. It just hasn't worked out in Utah.
I'm sure Turk and his wife will love the garbage strike.
The best thing about a Boozer trade wouldn't be a one year Boozer rental but it would be getting rid of Kirk Hinrich's contract. But KIRK WAS BORN TO BE A BULL and Jerry Reinsdorf won't allow that.
