I don't know I think you can control expectations and we are not really talking about the winning not winning thing. I think Steve Nash is a good example of a person who has not won a championship but is not vilified for it.

Steve Nash, while an MVP honoree, never is included in The Man talk. Durant is being groomed for The Man status.

I guess you don't want to go on and on about the secrets to your success when you haven't had any.

What was the best concert you've been to?

Night gathers, and now my snark begins. It shall not end until it gets hacky. I shall take my wife(... please!), hold no lands, father no negative ratings. I shall wear no crowns and win no AST Top 20 Rankings. I shall live and die by my posts. I am the LOL in the darkness. I am the fire that burns against the trolls, the sneer that guards the realms of men from Kyle Cease's Comedy Boot Camp. I pledge my life and honor to the AST's Watch, for this night and all the nights to come.

Carmelo to the Bulls? Wow, that'd be a team.

I think you mean Caramello to the Bulls.

Isn't Greg Caramello on the Vikings?

    Re: Sporots

I think Melo's overrated. I just don't see him as the type of guy you'd wanna mortgage your future on. Am I missing something? I'd rather have Durant.

Giants now tied with the Padres in the NL West, woooo!

    Re: Sporots

Seriously? One of the best saturdays of college football in recent history and we're talking about the NL West? The only two things on the earth shittier and less interesting than the NL West are the NFC West and finding players' names that sound like foods. So who wants to start Seahawks talk? Well done, AST.

    Re: Sporots

I think the NL West is fascinating, because the fall of the Padres is showing how unforgiving the long season is: you can get by on half-truths and gorilla dust for a while, but eventually, if your team looks like there's no way it can keep winning, it wont.
