This movie shows every last Saturday of the month at the Sunset Laemmle in West Hollywood at Midnight. It apparently sells out. I've never seen it, but the fact that it's frequently bought together with Troll 2 makes me feel like I should give it a chance.
Also, there's also the epically bad acting and dialogue.

I have a friend who is ADAMANT about my "need" to see this film. Apparently, it has a "Rocky Horroresque" (i.e. participatory) audience. If I have the energy, I might just have to hit it up on my way home from PFT's show.
Too bad it's at the Sunset 5, though. I abhor that place.
I have gone three times. Make sure to bring plastic forks. Just do it. I know it is kind of Rocky Horror Picture Show dorky but it is really fun.
This movie is a masterpiece the likes of which the world had not previously known. A friend of mine just made a parody video. Check it out. It's HILARIOUS. (Yes, I'm biased, but it's objectively funny).

Edit: Also, the Rifftrax of this is great. They're at their best when they're watching terrible movies.
It really is something that all of you should see. "The Room" is right up there with "Bloodsucking Freaks" as far as being able to watch it over and over and fucking over.
I first saw this movie last year when Adult Swim played it as an april fools joke. It's hilarious, the more you watch the more absurd it gets. i wish i lived in california so i could go see it at a theatre with an audience. but hell i'm just gonna watch it now

i recently went to a small theatre in New York and they showed the preview for this terrible looking movie. i didn't realize until it was over that it was most likely being shown in Room-esque way. like, "look how ridiculous this movie looks." it's about a guy whose eyes get messed up to where he begins to see little specs of color everywhere. the trailer ends with some really bad CGI of him throwing a camera into a body of water. anyone know what this movie is?
