Is the Alt Com in Somerville a thing anymore? Or no? I only just heard that it ever happened... but all the info I can find for it says 2009...

I agree that there should be a Boston sub forum if anything due to the fact that Boston has given us per-capita probably the most comedians of any city in the US.

    Re: Boston Comedy

I hope this doesn't get lost. I'll try and bump it as we get closer to the show but Marc Maron is coming to Great Scott in Allston, MA on Friday July 23rd and your friend, me, is opening up the show. Rob Crean and the Anderson Comedy Group are producing the show. They run a bunch of cool shows all over town and are really working hard to bring in a lot of acts that don't typically come through Boston (because Boston is a weird comedy town). They've had Todd Barry, God's Pottery, Christian Finnegan, and more and they were a super help when we brought Kyle Kinane into town in March. Great guys who put on great shows.

So if you like Marc Maron (and/or me), get your tickets here: http://www.ticketweb.com/t3/sale/Sal...ventId=2088305

    MARC MARON
    Friday July 23rd
    Great Scott, Allston MA

I'm also really looking forward to this show.

    Re: Boston Comedy

Bumping this thread for the Marc Maron show tonight at Great Scott in Allston. www.greatscottboston.com
This show should be awesome but I will not make any promises about my act other than to promise that I will try not to suck.

See you tonight. Say hello if you're inclined. I'll try not to be a dick though you should know I have a lot contempt for Allston so forgive me if I mistake you for a bike messenger.
