Mitch Hurwitz (that's right the creator of Arrested Development) will be hosting A Pretty Good Show. A night of comedy music and surprises( like perhaps Will Arnett as GOB performing with his puppet Franklin and other cast members) sponsered by alchohol. Yes alchohol; making the pain go away since the dawn of time ....people time.

When:Thursday October 16th doors open at 7pm show at 8pm.
Where:Vanguard Hollywood 6021 Hollywood blvd
Price:There are $15 $25 and $50(vip seating) tickets available.

I got handed a really snazzy glossy flier for this outside UCB. I'm interested, but one of the last places I'd ever go for comedy is the Vanguard (only because I went there in an alternate life and state of mind). Has anyone heard of it being used for comedy before, or better yet, actually been there for a comedy show?

And I guess my other question is, does the above even matter if Gob is going to be there?!

I don't know if they have done comedy there before but I have seen the set up when the place was empty. I think it could be a good venue for large enough show. I think this is a variety style show so it should work.

This is the first time Vanguard is hosting comedy. They are planning to make this a monthly variety show and the place is a great space for a big show like this.
