I use "Alec Robbins" as my stage name. I wear a RED shirt so people don't get me confused with...well, someone else.

lol, that's pretty good. Maybe we all should change our names to Alec Robbins to mess with him.

I think you should change your name to Noodles Levenstein.

That just means you're expendable and going to die.

I noticed something interesting the last couple of times I performed - some of my jokes have a very delayed laugh time. It sort of throws off my timing because on one of the occasions I had already begun telling my next joke and people just started laughing at the previous one. The other time (last night) I did a huge pause, after a different joke, because I thought maybe it was a delay in laughter.....and actually everyone started laughing a lot - either the awkwardness of my waiting for their response or because it took a bit for the joke to sink in. Neither of the jokes were what I would consider to be the type of joke you have to think about, or that takes a while to "get".

Have I specifically mentioned that I only wear green shirts or is that just something you picked up on?

I think I remember reading that you like green and/or it's your lucky colour.

As far as the "evil" identifier, that one I picked up on. You're an evil little man full of hatred.

There, I finally got that off my chest. I can relax now.

P.S. I noticed you sent that last message at about midnight your time. That's funny, I thought your on-line
"Jerk It To Computer Porn Club" met at midnight? Didn't they miss you??

Is there any way (aside from doing) that someone who's never MC'd before can learn how to be an MC?

Why is it that all your questions sound like the beginning of an info-mercial?

And not an entertaining one, either, like Girls Gone Wild or those crazy-awesome dicers.

I suggest studying your favorite MC and seeing what you like about him, then watching your least favorite MC and seeing what you don't like about him and go from there

What are the stereotypes and stigmata -- good or bad --that surround being an MC.

Versus say a feature act or an opener.

    Just wondering, thanks.

Do you want to be a real MC or a fake ass buster MC?

One stigmata a good MC will often have is horrible bloody wounds on his/her hands and feet. Hope that helps!

I'd love to buy a Bill Hicks DVD of his stand up comedy, but it looks like there are a few different DVD's of his stand up. Does anyone have any recomendations, or should I just buy all of them?
