I'm currently putting together a comedy writing sample and thought it might be worthwhile to have a writing sample thread. We can make it as broad as we want, what to put in a sample, past experiences, books on the subject, advice, submission techniques etc. Not sure if this thread will gather much steam but I thought I'd throw it out there anyway.

I'll start.

After much debate I think I've decided on what to include in my sample. I want to cover all my bases so I'm planning to include a 4 page original treatment, 3 sketches, some stand up jokes, and a yet to be written essay titled "Comedy Nostalgia." I still have a lot of work to do but it's nice having an idea of what I need to get done.

Thoughts?
