Prediction: Monologue is weird and great. Guts of the show are the usual. Last two sketches blow everyone's infant minds and we all cry ourselves to sleep.
Ashton Kutcher took some videos on his Iphone during his week at SNL, and in one of them he walked by the board with the upcoming hosts on it:
Ashton's show is the second show in the second grouping on the second row of the board.
Then there's a break, and the first episode in the next grouping is Jennifer Lopez (Ashton zoomed in on this, so it's confirmed). Now, the next episode after that: granted, it's really blurry, but if you squint, it does look like a really short first name and a really long last name. Then there's one more host in March and two more hosts booked for April.
If you squint you can see Zach poking out from behind the door winking and giving us (Ashton) a thumbs up.

Well said. I'm really looking forward to him hosting. Should be awesome, but a little surreal, like seeing him on Letterman last summer (or whenever it was).
Here's hoping for Patton Oswalt to get the gig at some point.

Maybe it's just the pessimist in me, but I feel like this might just fall apart due to scheduling... isn't Zach filming some movies right now. Either way, I just don't want to be disappointed.

Jeez, why don't we just let her relax. I have a bad feeling the stress of doing a live 90 minute comedy show might kill her.
I think he meant it as a landmark for contemporary "alternative comedy". Also, that container of margarine isn't really amazed it's not butter.
Yeah, I meant it mostly as a landmark for "alternative comedy." But perhaps more simple than that, a landmark for "Comedians Of Comedy" as a franchise.
Allowing zach to host, knowing the nature of his live performances, harkens back to the original days of snl when steve martin, kaufman, and o'donoghue put on these performance pieces. I don't see zach going up there like cook or even carlin and tell jokes to a camera. A live comedian like galifianakis hasn't hosted snl in a very long time. And for that I think it's a landmark for the current state of comedy, even if snl doesn't represent what it used to.
granted, it took 2 blockbuster films to land zach this spot, but is it that far fetched to think that his success could propel other like-minded comedians into the light? zach hosting makes paul f. tompkins hosting sound not so unrealistic.

Let's talk more about Betty White.
I think what the kind poster was trying to say was that if a Galifiankis could get famous enough to host SNL than it's not unreasonable to think that an F. Tompkins could also reach that level of fame.
I like when Betty White swears or does other things that are out of the ordinary for a woman of her age to do.
I'm guessing he probably means "G-Force", which was probably #1 at the box office the week it came out, but was it really a "blockbuster"?
The Futon Critic now has this listed as an upcoming episode, so you can probably take that as official confirmation.
No musical guest listed. Is Zach going to be his own musical guest like J-Lo?
