I've noticed a troubling trend in air quotations that I'm going to put a stop to via this note that none of you will read.
A flawlessly executed air quote appears thusly: you make one set of quotes with the index and middle finger of your right hand, say the quoted phrase, then close it out with another set of air quotes with your left hand.
